The heroic protagonist of Edgar Rice Burroughs‘ 11-volume “Barsoom” series, John Carter will be adapted into a sci-fi action adventure movie to hit the big screen next year! The film is largely based on “A Princess of Mars”, the first novel to feature John Carter which was originally published as a magazine serial in 1912 and then brought out in book form in 1917. This upcoming novel adaptation movie is directed by Oscar winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton and starring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Polly Walker and Willem Dafoe. John Carter is set to be released on 9th MAR 2012 in conventional, Digital 3D and IMAX 3D formats.

Jerry Bruckheimer will once again bring back the adventures of the famous pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow with the latest installment from the hit franchise which titled “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides“. Johnny Depp will reprise his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow in this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, so as Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbosa. Other casts including the new join Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Kevin R. McNally, Stephen Graham and Astrid Berges-Frisbey. “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” is set to come to theaters this month on 20th MAY 2011. An early screening of the film will also take place during the Cannes International Film Festival.

The Tron: Legacy x Vans Sk8-Hi dresses the classic Sk8-Hi in a cool black, with the iconic stripe worked in blue for that futuristic Tron-vibe, but the key lies in the details. To make things official, Tron: Legacy is printed on the tongue tag and a Disney tag is fastened to the backside of the tongue, marking the shoes as an officially licensed Tron: Legacy product.
