Besides Uniqlo, A Bathing Ape (or better known as BAPE) also collaborates with Transformers to unveil a series of apparel collection for adults and kids scheduled along with release of the third installment of the live action movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. BAPE decorated a series of BABY MILO graphic tees with the Autobots’ insignia and facsimiles of its leader, Optimus Prime. The collection will be available on two different release schedules with first sets launch on 2nd JUL 2011 and the second set will be on 23rd JUL 2011, along with the more exclusive t-shirts and Optimus Prime toy figure which re-done in BAPE First Camo pattern with help from toy maker TOMY. The battle between Autobots and Decepticons continues, in the fashion scene this time. In conjunction with the global releases of Paramount Pictures‘ live-action franchise Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Uniqlo is administered the license to release a special collection of Uniqlo X Transformers: Dark of the Moon t-shirts for its UT line this summer. Uniqlo, Japan’s biggest retailer, has jumped on the bandwagon to help raise funds for individuals affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake which happened back in 11th MAR 2011. The fund-raising campaign will see Uniqlo marketing a line of Save Japan! UT t-shirts which feature words of encouragement from global celebrities. The Save Japan! UT project was made possible with the help from the Conde Nast Group, the publisher of Vogue Japan and GQ Japan.

Following the roaring success of 2009 Year of The Tiger T-shirt Design Competition, Esprit Hong Kong has decided to launch the 2010 The Year of The Rabbit T-shirt Design Competition to celebrating the upcoming Lunar New Year on a grander scale to include more design from the region beyond just Hong Kong. This year, entries from China, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan are also welcome to join this competition. All you need to do is enter your own interpretation of a T-shirt design for The Year of the rabbit.

Since the opening of Nike’s Harajuku flagship store it had launched a special project titled “11Change”, which involved 11 individuals or athletes who have put a tremendous influence on sports in Japan and offered them a chance to customize a Nike shoe that matched their personalities. Inoue Takehiko, a Japanese manga artist best known for his famous basketball manga series – Slam Dunk, was selected to be the last of the series.
