Nike is bringing you back with Nike’s We Run KL 10K marathon race next month on Sunday, 27th NOV 2011 at Padang Merbok, start from 7AM. With the route including some of the most scenic and iconic paths in the heart of Kuala Lumpur this time, this historically and culturally infused race aims to take you for a run down memory lane this year. Hosted by three countries – Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines will be carrying the banner with the goal to expand and extend the running community within the South East Asia region, in hopes to build connections, inspire and motivate a new generation to develop a love for the sport.

Nike Malaysia recently kicked off registration for its inaugural Nike City 10K Kuala Lumpur, a unique celebration of sports that will see young runners racing through the streets of Kuala Lumpur on 10th OCT 2010. The Nike City 10K will be hosted by 22 countries across the globe, with Malaysia and Singapore carrying the banner for Southeast Asia.

Since the opening of Nike’s Harajuku flagship store it had launched a special project titled “11Change”, which involved 11 individuals or athletes who have put a tremendous influence on sports in Japan and offered them a chance to customize a Nike shoe that matched their personalities. Inoue Takehiko, a Japanese manga artist best known for his famous basketball manga series – Slam Dunk, was selected to be the last of the series.
