Marvel Comics antihero, Ghost Rider is going to return on the big screens next month in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. This sequel to the 2007 film “Ghost Rider” features Nicolas Cage returning to reprise the lead role as Johnny Blaze a.k.a. Ghost Rider. Directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, this upcoming movie also starring Johnny Whitworth, Fergus Riordan, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Christopher Lambert. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is set to open on 17th FEB 2012 in both conventional and 3D format.

Paramount Pictures will once again team up with Marvel to present another comic adapted superhero movie, Captain America: The First Avenger! After Hulk, Iron Man and the upcoming Thor, here comes the first and the leader of The Avengers. The film is directed by Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Sebastian Stan and Hayley Atwell. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury, the director of the super-spy agency, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Stan Lee will once again have a cameo appearance in the film. Captain America: The First Avenger is set for a 22nd JUL 2011 release date.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment are going to present an epic adventure titled – Thor, in which Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of superhero. Kenneth Branagh directs this fantasy epic which stars Australian actor Chris Hemsworth as the ancient Norse god and other cast including Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins. Expect to see agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., previously seen in ”Iron Man”, to make an appearance, further forshadowing the coming of The Avengers! Thor is scheduled to be released officially on 6th MAY 2011.

In promotion of the much anticipated sci-fi movie, Tron: Legacy, Marvel Comic had announced a few of its upcoming comic book covers will feature “Tron-ified” superheroes. Combining established superheroes with Tron imagery, some of the characters featured include Spiderman, Thor and Captain America. The superheroes will be catapulted into the unique visual style of the Tron Universe – etched with neon, glow-in-the-dark lines. The comic had already went on sale between NOV and DEC this year.
