Forbes World’s Billionaires 2011

Forbes has compiled a list of latest ranking for the World’s Billionaires earlier this month and this 25th year of tracking global wealth breaks two records: 1,210 listees in total and achieve a combined wealth of US$4.5 trillion. Mexico’s Carlos Slim Helu stays still on top of the list this year by added US$20.5 billion to his fortune, more than any other billionaire. The telecom mogul, who gets 62% of his fortune from America Movil, is now worth US$74 billion and has pulled far ahead of his two closest rivals: Bill Gates at second place and Warren Buffett at third, both added a more modest US$3 billion to their piles and are now worth us$56 billion and us$50 billion respectively.

Forbes Malaysia’s 40 Richest 2011

Last week Forbes had released their latest edition of Malaysia’s 40 Richest. Robert Kuok and Ananda Krishnan stay still at top two spots with the net worth of US$12.5 billion and US$9.5 billion respectively. Overall Malaysia’s economy grew 7.2% last year, which recorded as the highest rate since 2000. The fortunes of the country’s 40 richest have kept rising too, which worth a collective US$62.1 billion, US$11.1 billion more than previous year.

Forbes Global 2000

Forbes had compiled a latest Global 2000 list last week. The Forbes Global 2000 are the biggest, most powerful listed companies in the world. It’s a comprehensive report analyzes the world’s biggest companies and the best performing of these titans over the past year. This year’s ranking of world leading companies span 62 countries, with the US (515 members) and Japan (210 members) still dominating the list, but with a combined 33 fewer entries. Forbes World’s Top-10 Youngest Billionaires

The Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg is leading the Forbes world’s top-10 youngest billionaires with his net worth of US$4 billion. The 25 years-old first launched the social networking site from his Harvard bedroom back in year 2004. Among the top-10, two billionaires are from China. They are third place Yang HuiYan and ninth place Lee ZiaoHui.

2010 Forbes World’s Billionaires

Forbes had published the annual list of World’s Billionaires for the year of 2010 on 10th MAR. Mexican tycoon, Carlos Slim Helu has beaten out Americans Bill Gates and Warren Buffett to become the wealthiest person on earth and become the first non-American to nab the top spot in the 16 years of history for the Forbes list of the World’s Billionaires.

Forbes World’s Most Powerful Billionaires

Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City, tops Forbes list of “World’s Most Powerful Billionaires”. Meanwhile media and banking titan Silvio Berlusconi, also prime minister of Italy, ranks second on the list. Billionaire industrial heir, Saad Hariri, who was appointed prime minister of Lebanon last JUN ranks fifth. Rounding out the top five are Mexican telecom titan Carlos Slim and Russian oil magnate Vagit Alekperov. Hong Kong and East Asia wealthiest man, Li Ka-Shing ranks eight in the list.

Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion 2009

Eight Malaysian companies are among the 200 small and medium-sized (SME) companies in the Asia Pacific that got into Forbes Asia‘s fifth annual “Best Under A Billion” list for 2009. The companies are Coastal Contracts Bhd (marine transportation), Efficient E-Solutions Bhd (information technology outsourcing), ETI Tech (batteries), Hai-O Enterprise Bhd (cosmetics), Kumpulan Fima Bhd (food processing), NTPM (paper products), Success Transformer (electrical manufacturing) and YNH Property Bhd (palm oil).

The Forbes 400 Richest Americans 2009

Forbes has recently compiled a ranking list for America’s super rich. This year, for only the fifth time since 1982, the collective net worth of The Forbes 400 Richest Americans has declined – falling $300 billion in the past 12 months from US$1.57 trillion to US$1.27 trillion. Faltering capital markets and real estate prices, along with divorce and fraud, pushed the fortunes of 314 members down and drove 32 drop off the rankings.
