Returning for its fifth year, Art Expo Malaysia 2011 will take place start from tomorrow, 28th OCT 2011 to 1st NOV 2011 at MATRADE Exhibition & Convention Centre (MECC), Kuala Lumpur with operation hours from 10:30AM until 7:30PM daily. Admission is free! The exhibition is the country’s most prominent international art event which will see the convergence of the world’s most reputable galleries showcasing the best art around, including works by Picasso, which are rarely seen in this part of the world. With last year’s expo attracting 12,000 visitors and selling RM11million in works, including silkscreens by pop artist Andy Warhol that went for RM2million, this year’s expo aim to grow in leaps and bounds.

The biggest book expositions in Southeast Asia, BookFest @ Malaysia will be back for the 6th consecutive year this month, scheduled to be held from 27th AUG 2011 until 4th SEPT 2011 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). With a theme of “One Book One World”, this year’s event will be stretching approximately 125,000 square feet utilising Halls 1 to 5 of KLCC. After a successful run last year, Kuala Lumpur Design Week (KLDW) is going to return for its second edition with new logo, new mission, new line-ups and new objectives this year. It’s already started from 1st MAY and held until 16th MAY. The theme for this year’s event is “20/10″, which symbolizes 20 showcases in 10 locations.
