From its inception as a single-city initiative back in 2007, Earth Hour has grown into a global movement where millions of people from every continent around the globe join together to acknowledge the importance of protecting planet Earth. This year, Earth Hour will return with its 2011 edition on this coming Saturday, 26th MAR 2011. Individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn out their lights for one hour on that day at 8:30 PM to show their support for environmentally sustainable action.

Earth Hour 2010, an event calls on the world to switch off their lights for one hour, is return on this Saturday, 27th MAR.
