Adidas King of the Road returns this year by having the 14th edition scheduled to be held on 9th SEPT 2012. The race, hosted by Adidas, is a celebration of the sports brand’s latest global “one brand” campaign entitled “Adidas Is All In”. Similar races will also be held in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. The campaign features four global brand ambassadors – FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi, football celebrity David Beckham, NBA‘s most valued player Derrick Rose and pop icon Katy Perry. The theme for this year’s race is “Cool”, inspired by Adidas’ latest running shoes – the Clima Cool Seduction.

Spider-Man is about to swing his way back onto the big screens this summer with a brand new story in The Amazing Spider-Man! Rather than another sequel, this is the first reboot of the web-slinger in a brand new series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story and it portrays the evolving of Parker’s super powers during high school. The twists regarding the new villain, Curt Connors and Spider-Man’s parents in this latest edition are new, but they’re necessary to set the franchise apart from the Sam Raimi movies. Based on the Marvel comic book of the same title and directed by Marc Webb, this fourth installment of the movies that portrays Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Denis Leary. The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released on 3rd JUL 2012 in conventional, 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D theaters.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back to the kooky world of the top-secret government agents who protect planet Earth from hostile aliens in Men In Black 3. This third entry of the Men in Black film series is the sequel to its predecessor ten years ago and fifteen years after the first installment. The film is based on the Marvel comic book series “The Men In Black” by Lowell Cunningham. As Barry Sonenfeld returns once again as director, this upcoming sci-fi comedy franchise joined cast by Josh Brolin, Jemaine Clement, Michael Stuhlbarg, Nicole Scherzinger and Emma Thompson. Men In Black 3 is set to be released on 25th MAY 2012 in both conventional and 3D format.

Hong Kong based Chinese-American rapper-songwriter Au-Yeung Jin, better known as MC Jin, will be in Kuala Lumpur on next month, 4th MAY 2012 for his MC Jin in My Dream Concert Live In KL at KL Live @ Life Centre. Be prepared to be entertained with Jin’s signature rap and Hip-Hop numbers such as “ABC”, “Hong Kong Superstar”, “Learn Chinese”, “Getting Rich” and “See you at Hong Kong Coliseum”. Irish quartet The Cranberries are coming to KL with a one-night only live concert next month! The band will kick off their long awaited Malaysia tour The Cranberries Live In Malaysia 2012 on next Wednesday, 4th APR 2012 at Stadium Negara. The Cranberries will be touring Australia before they reach the shores of South East Asia; starting with Singapore on 2nd APR, then Kuala Lumpur on 4th APR, moving on to Taipei on 6th APR, Hong Kong on 8th APR and finally stops at Manila on 10th APR before the head back to Europe to continue their world tour.

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth in the year of 2085, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they explore an advanced alien civilization in search of the origins of humanity and they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race. This upcoming science fiction film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron. Conceived as a prequel to Scott’s 1979 sci-fi horror film “Alien”, rewrites of Spaihts’s script by Lindelof developed a separate story that precedes the events of “Alien”, but which is not directly connected to the films in the Alien franchise. According to Scott, though the film shares “strands of Alien’s DNA, so to speak”, and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas. The movie is scheduled for release on 8th JUN 2012.

Due to some “unforeseen circumstances”, some says contract disputes between the organiser and Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue, F1 Rocks Malaysia has been canceled. Anyhow, the show must go on and now it will be replaced with a free event open to public – Twin Towers @Live 2012, which will be held starting from tomorrow, 23rd-24th MAR 2012 (Friday and Saturday) at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Greek-Australian pop rocker Orianthi Panagaris, Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, “Milkshake” mama Kelis and Korean girl group Girls’ Generation aka SNSD are scheduled to perform. The concert is being held in conjunction with the 2012 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix.
