January 27th, 2010 edero No comments

When you in the cyber-cafe, you need to type the Chinese characters to reply your friends comments in facebook or create a post in your blog. What you will do if the machine was not installed with Chinese input tools?

Normally i will open the google and search for “Chinese online input”. Then click on first search result link; Chinese Input Method Editor – (IME) – Free Online Tools. This tool allows you to write Chinese on your computer without installing any software. This Online Chinese input editor is based on pinyin. What you need to do is type the Chinese character or sentences, then copy it to your facebook or blog. That’s it!

How to use the tool

  • Write pinyin. The pinyin will appear in the right-upper box. In the right-lower box, the tool will propose a list of character corresponding to the pinyin.
  • If the first character proposed is the one you intend to write, just press the “space” bar. The character will be displayed in the left editor box
  • If the character you want is the 2nd, 3rd, … just press the corresponding key (1), (2) of your keyboard. The character will be displayed in the left editor box
  • If the list of character exceed 10, then use the key “Page Down” “Page Up” of your computer.

It’s make your life easy although you not installing any Chinese Input tools on your machine. Hope you enjoy it.

Nexus One

January 15th, 2010 edero No comments

The Nexus One is the Google Phone launched on January 5th, 2010. The phone runs on a Qualcomm 1 GHz Snapdragon chip, has a super high-resolution OLED touchscreen, is thinner than the iPhone, has no keyboard, and two mics. The mic on the back of the phone helps eliminate background noise, and it also has a “weirdly” large camera for a phone. And if you don’t like the touchscreen keyboard, a voice-to-text feature is supposed to let you dictate emails and notes by speaking directly into the phone.

The phone itself is being built by HTC, with a lot of input from Google. It seems to be a tailored version of the HTC Passion or the related HD2 (Unlocker scored some leaked picturesback in October which are of the same phone).

The Nexus One is available for purchase in the United States and may also be shipped to the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore (Republic of Singapore).
