Asia’s first Legoland theme park, dedicated to the popular toy bricks, will open in Malaysia on 15th SEPT 2012, several months ahead of schedule. More than 35,000 annual passes (over one-third of which to Singaporeans) had already been sold for Legoland Malaysia theme park in Iskandar, Johor. About one million people are expected to visit the 76-acre (31 ha) park in the first year.
On the back of a local survey that showed more than 50% Malaysians booked their travels online, AsiaRooms, one of the world’s leading online travel agencies, recently announced the launch of its “The Right Room for You” campaign. The campaign is aimed at providing Malaysians with localised deals catered to the different needs of every unique Malaysian traveller. Consumers can go to HERE to browse for booking discounts of up to 76% across the AsiaRooms network which has on its directory more than 55,000 hotels.
The listing of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGVH) on Bursa Malaysia is expected to take place at end-JUN 2012 with the prospectus to be issued at the end of this month. Upong listing, FGVH is looking at a market capitalisation of RM17 billion based on the indicative price of RM4.65 a share for its initial public offering (IPO) and its share capital of some 3.65 billion shares. A total of 2.19 billion shares are offered under the listing exercise, comprising an offer for sale of up to 1.2 billion shares and a public issue of 980 million shares.

Adidas King of the Road returns this year by having the 14th edition scheduled to be held on 9th SEPT 2012. The race, hosted by Adidas, is a celebration of the sports brand’s latest global “one brand” campaign entitled “Adidas Is All In”. Similar races will also be held in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. The campaign features four global brand ambassadors – FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi, football celebrity David Beckham, NBA‘s most valued player Derrick Rose and pop icon Katy Perry. The theme for this year’s race is “Cool”, inspired by Adidas’ latest running shoes – the Clima Cool Seduction.
Spider-Man is about to swing his way back onto the big screens this summer with a brand new story in The Amazing Spider-Man! Rather than another sequel, this is the first reboot of the web-slinger in a brand new series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story and it portrays the evolving of Parker’s super powers during high school.
