Garbage Live In Singapore
Do you miss rocking out to heavy guitar riffs accompanied by a sweet yet scratchy female voice as opposed to the jumpy pop songs that they’re playing on the radios nowadays? Alternative rock band Garbage will be landing in Singapore this coming AUG by rocking a one night only concert on 21st AUG 2012 at Fort Canning Park, which is the band’s next stop after their show at Summer Sonic Festival 2012 in Japan. After the band’s six years hiatus, fans of Garbage will be thrilled with their return and this Singapore show is not to be missed!
This grungy rock quartet, made up of the female Scottish singer, Shirley Manson and her American bandmates including Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig, was formed in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1994 and managed to release successful singles like “Stupid Girl” and “Only Happy When It Rains” following the release of their self-titled debut album “Garbage” IN 1995. They have won several awards including two Grammy awards and they were also featured in the nineteenth installment of the James Bond movies “The World Is Not Enough”. In 2003, the band took an indefinite hiatus but reformed in 2007 – by then, they have released four studio albums. In OCT 2010, they started working on their latest album “Not Your Kind Of People” and it was recently released on 14th MAY 2012, featuring the lead single “Blood For Poppies”, which received good reviews.
