The gargantuan best band in Britain Kasabian are about to landing on the Lion City with Kasabian Live In Singapore 2012 on 8th FEB 2012 at Fort Canning Park, as part of the devilishly good Leicester rock band’s even bigger “Velociraptor!” tour of 2012 where Singapore will be the band’s only stop in South East Asia. London-based indie rock outfit The Vaccines are set to warm up your system as these infectuous quartet will be the opening act for Kasabian in Singapore!

Kasabian was brought to worldwide prominence when “Club Foot” – a single from their eponymous 2004 debut – rocketed up music charts in UK and the rest of the world. With the release of “Velociraptor!” last September, they’ve returned with more foot-stomping anthems such as “Velociraptor”, “Switchblade Smiles” and “Days Are Forgotten”, which has already been chosen as the soundbed for the new Sky Sports football season TV ad. The band’s Mercury-nominated last LP “West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum” is a psychedelic masterpiece which has sold almost a million copies worldwide (and a cool 730,000 in UK) which confirmed Kasabian’s place at British rock’s highest table. Voted Best Album by Q and nominated for the Mercury Prize, the band also won Best British Group at The Brits, Best Album at the NME Awards and a host of other nominations.
