Swiss watchmakers Rado launched the Rado Young Design Prize Malaysia 2010 contest recently with prizes worth up to RM50,000 to be won. Themed “Unlimited Spirit”, this art and design competition accepts entries in almost all design categories – animation, architecture, digital, fashion, graphic design, illustration, installations, interior, jewellery, painting, photography, print, products, sculpture or video. This contest is open to all young designers in Malaysia aged from 18 to 35 years old and contest deadline is 6th OCT 2010.

This contest adds to Rado’s Radostar initiative and to their reputation as a brand that supports fresh design talents. The first prize will receive RM10,000 in cash, second prize gets RM5,000 and RM3,000 for third prize. Plus, each winner receives a Rado watch! In order to participate, all you need to do is register yourself at the website of Rado Young Design Prize Malaysia 2010 and submit your artwork before the closing date as stated above.

A panel of judges will pick the top 5 submissions that will be exhibited at KLCC Concourse level from 27th OCT to 2nd NOV 2010. The top 3 winners will be announced during an event on 29th OCT. Take note that the public can influence the outcome of the winners by voting at the exhibition! Another guideline to take note of is your design should contain these features: new, innovative, futuristic, visionary and minimalistic.
