There will be a new name engraved on the UEFA Super Cup this year. The 2010 UEFA Super Cup, which usually served as the curtain raiser for a brand new season of European football clubs’ competition, is going to be competed tonight at Stade Louis II, Monaco between Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan after achieving landmark victories in MAY.

Under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who has since left for Real Madrid and been replaced by Spaniard Rafael Benitez, Inter last season became the first Italian team to win the treble of UEFA Champions League, Italian Serie A and Coppa Italia titles. Now the Nerazzurri will be looking to add the UEFA Super Cup to their list of accolades toight.

Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, who have never won the UEFA Super Cup either, earned their spot in tonight’s showpiece by beating Fulham in the UEFA Europa League final in MAY to end a 14-year wait for silverware.

The Asian Handicap odd for this match is Inter Milan let 0.5 goal. Personally my preference goes to the Italian side. So my money will be on the Nerazzurries for this game!
