2010 FIFA World Cup Awards

That is it! The world’s most prestigious football competition – 2010 FIFA World Cup has come to its end. Spain become the new and eighth champion in the history of FIFA World Cup, and Holland still remain as the “king without trophy”. The Vuvuzuela season is over, but FIFA World Cup will still return for sure in 2014 at Brazil. Today I’m going to share with you the roll-of-honours for 2010 FIFA World Cup. Check it out after the jump.

Uruguay striker, Diego Forlan has been named Best Player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup by topped the prestigious poll of accredited media representatives ahead of the Netherlands’ Wesley Sneijder and Spain hitman David Villa. Germany starlet, Thomas Muller finished on five goals, but claimed the top scorer accolade thanks to no fewer than three assists, leaving him ahead of Spain marksman David Villa and Dutch hitman Wesley Sneijder, both of whom finished on five goals but with only one assist apiece. Still couldn’t believe that there is no award winner coming from Brazil or Argentina this year. ;(

It’s usual for the World Cup award winner come from the top four teams, but I think Messi still have the chances to shine in future World Cup. Stay cheers, pal~
