Earth Day
Earth Day is held worldwide annually on 22nd APR each year, although there are some people celebrate Earth Day around the time of the vernal equinox. Named Earth Day, it has remained a time to celebrate restoration and stand up for the planet. It’s currently observed in more than 140 countries and celebrated by more than one billion people around the globe. The following is today’s Google Doodle which is about Earth Day 2010.

Earth Day, founded by Winconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson, was first organized in 1970 to promote ecology and respect for life on the planet as well as to draw attention to the environmental issues plaguing the planet and human health. You can get more details about the history of Earth Day at HERE.
Planet Earth is a living and breathing masterpiece, a one-of-a-kind work of art whose rivers and streams flow as the blood of the Earth; the wind is the breath of the planet; and the trees and rainforests are the lungs that keep our green Earth alive. So, attention to all human race living on the globe, we should start to take action of our part starting today. Act now, respect the planet, love yourself!
