2009/10 UEFA Champions League (MD10-III)

Four-time European champion – Bayern Munich need only a draw at Stade de Gerland in order to march into the final for the 8th time and the 1st in 9 years when they face Olympique Lyon tonight in 2009/10 UEFA Champions League semi-final 2nd leg. For your information, Bayern are leading with 1-0 in goal aggregate, thanks to the goal by Dutch winger, Arjen Robben in the 1st leg match last week.

Lyon have 5 wins 5 draws 1 lose in last 11 UCL home games at the stage of elimination and they haven’t lose at home in UCL this term, including during the preliminary round, with 5 wins 1 draw 15 goals scored and only 3 goals conceded. Besides, they recorded 5 wins 1 draw 2 loses in last 8 encounters with German sides. However, the opponent that gave them those 3 winless results is Bayern. Bayern were also the only team that successfully defeated Lyon in their last 13 European home games.

Bayern, on the other hand, lost only once in last 5 visits to French sides and were scoreless for just once in last 20 UCL away games. Somemore, Bayern are leading with 3 wins 2 draws 2 loses in head-to-head records with Lyon, in which 1 win 1 draw 1 lose are played at away. Asian handicap’s odd is Lyon let 0/0.5 goal. Personally, I guess that Bayern are able to earn at least a draw tonight. My money will once again on the German side!
