Attack Of The Logos

Did you guys watched the Academy Awards ceremony earlier this month? The winner of the short film category in this year’s Oscar is “Logorama“, a film with a storyline about the Michelin Man cops pursue a criminal Ronald Mcdonald in a world made up entirely of trademarks and brands. The entire universe of this film, even the characters within and the city of Los Angeles itself, are all composed of repurposed corporate logo art.

This short film was created by directors within H5, a French graphic studio renowned for its CD front covers and artistic direction. Logorama is their first short film, and premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Kodak Short Film Discovery Prize at the 48th Critics’ Week. It took an incredible six years to create this sixteen minutes short film, and features a voice cameo by movie director David Fincher as the Pringles man.

You may get more details about the story behind this awards winning short film at HERE and watch the full length (16 minutes) of the film at HERE.
