If you wish to get first-hand information on tertiary education and career options, here comes a golden opportunity. The traditional Star Education Fair, Malaysia’s premier education fair, is once again return for its 23rd edition and to be held on 9th and 10th JAN 2010 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Most of the higher educational institutions will be present at the fair to introduce their institutions and courses offered.

Those interested in knowing about what it takes to be an engineer should take note of the Engineering talk, which will be held at the fair. Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman director of Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research Prof Dr Lee Sze Wei will be one of the speakers to give an overview of the field, the type of study and training involved, as well as the educational options locally and abroad.

The 23rd Star Education Fair will also feature talks on medicine, information technology, options after SPM, funding higher education, as well as a new session themed “Recession-proof jobs”. Many educational institutions, professional bodies, higher education agencies and education centres will be present at the fair to and ready to help SPM and STPM school-leavers to decide on the right course to pursue. Working adults can also check out part-time and postgraduate courses to enhance their career prospects during an economic slowdown.
