Alice In Wonderland
Tim Burton, one of the world’s most visually arresting directors, will bring you a stunning new concept art of Alice in Wonderland as seen through his eyes this year. Walt Disney Pictures will present an elegant, richly textured fantasy world that honors Lewis Carroll’s 19th century fairy tale while incorporating bits of Tim Burton’s trademark weirdness.
Johnny Depp is starring in this movie as the Mad Hatter, alongside Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Mia Wasikowska as Alice. It’s almost like a sequel to the original story with Alice attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years ago yet doesn’t remember.
Synopsis: Alice returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.
The movie is scheduled to release on 5th MAR 2010 in 2D, digital 3D and IMAX 3D versions.
