Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd will replace Parkson Holdings Bhd to become the constituent in FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) following the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange’s semi-annual review. The reviews ensure that the indices accurately reflect the markets they represent. FTSE group and Bursa Malaysia Bhd said that would take effect from tomorrow, 21st DEC 2009, and the next review would take place in JUN 2010.

The FBM KLCI reserve list, comprising the five highest-ranking non-constituents of the index by market capitalisation, will be (in order of full market capitalisation) Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd, IJM Corp Bhd, Gamuda Bhd, Parkson Holdings Bhd and Lafarge Malayan Cement Bhd. Companies in the reserve list would replace constituents that became ineligible as a result of corporate actions before the next review.
