I had tried to drive Toyota Prius Hybrid during my last trip to Australia beginning of this year. My impression on this car is pretty good. It’s just like driving a electric car. Single button push make the car starts to operate. You can’t even can hear the sound of the engine until the car up hill or the car is reaching low battery level.

Toyota is planning a larger version of its popular Prius hybrid, which will be powered by a new kind of battery. The new battery will be used in the new Prius Hybid is a lithium-ion battery, which is more powerful than the nickel-metal hydride battery.

The new Prius, is expected to go on sale by the end of next year for the price of about 2 million yen or $22,000.
