Guinness is celebrating the 250th year since Arthur Guinness first brewed the iconic dry stout, with one massive party all over the world. Five cities around the globe will see the party kick off simultaneously, which are: Dublin, Lagos, Yaounde, New York and guess what: Kuala Lumpur is also one of them!

Malaysians will get none other than the Black Eyed Peas, local acts including Reshmonu, Danny One and Manhand, Taiwan talents which are MC Hotdog and MJ116! The party-startin’ foursome will be whipping out their too-infectious-for-your-own-good hits from their new album – The E.N.D. The Arthur’s Day celebration will also see the Arthur’s Fund in Malaysia unveiled. The Arthur’s Fund will honour the legacy of the great man and his descendants, responsible for some of the most well-known charity acts in their native Ireland.

To usher in the Guinness 250th celebrations, artists and celebs in over 150 countries will be raising a glass to the great Arthur Guinness starting in Dublin at exactly 17:59 GMT on Arthur’s Day 24th SEPT 2009 (01:59AM Malaysian time, 25th SEPT 2009). Apart from the Kuala Lumpur and other four cities’ concerts, Guinness is organising events in Australia, Canada, Indonesia and the United States. In Canada, there will be a string of black carpet VIP parties from Vancouver through to Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax. Australians can party at each major state capital city in what it termed are iconic Guinness venues while in Indonesia, there will be a bus safari travelling through ten of its key cities from October.
